Buttermilk Biscuits

Ingredients
2 c flour
½ tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
½ tsp soda
5 Tbsp shortening
1 c buttermilk
Recipe
Sift flour, salt, baking powder and soda; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add buttermilk, all at once, and stir until dough follows fork around bowl. Turn out and knead for ½ minutes. Roll 1/2” thick; cut with biscuit/cookie cutter or drinking glass. Bake on ungreased sheet at 450 for 12-15 minutes. Yield: 2 dozen biscuits
